Tangier Fringe Jacket (جاكيت طنجة)

All the jacket's colour sits on one pocket. A handmade fringe of Czech beads hangs from a V-shaped edge across it, and each strand runs green, then yellow, then blue at the tip. The pocket on the other side is a plain rectangle, and the rest is dark blue denim with nothing to close it at the front, so the fringe moves against a single colour.

Denim, 55% rayon / 42% cotton / 3% lycra.

The Tetouan Wide Pant is the same dark blue denim, so together the two read as one column from collar to hem, broken only by the fringe. What shows through the open front decides whether that holds: a dark layer keeps it whole, and green, yellow or blue picks up the beads.

In Zellij Drift, this piece puts the collection's artisanal detail onto denim, bringing handwork into an everyday fabric. It is the jacket half of the dark blue denim pairing with the Tetouan Wide Pant.
